Job Title: Sales and Marketing Supervisor

 

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Department: Sales and Marketing

Location: Lilongwe

 

Job Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing team and activities in the central region of Malawi, operating from Lilongwe. This role requires strong leadership, sales, and marketing skills to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Team Management:

– Supervise and mentor sales team members to achieve sales targets and improve performance.

– Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching, and feedback sessions.

– Ensure sales team members have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to perform their roles effectively.

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

– Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

– Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends.

– Collaborate with the CEO to develop sales plans and forecasts.

  1. Marketing Activities:

– Plan and execute marketing activities, campaigns, and promotions in the central region.

– Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

– Ensure marketing activities align with the company’s overall marketing strategy.

  1. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

– Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.

– Provide regular sales reports, analysis, and recommendations to the CEO.

– Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  1. Collaboration and Communication:

– Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Finance) to ensure alignment and support.

– Communicate effectively with the CEO, sales team members, and other stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

– Advanced diploma or in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or related field. Degree is a plus

– 1+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a supervisory role.

– Skills:

– Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

– Proven sales and marketing experience, with a track record of achieving sales targets.

– Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

– Proficient in sales and marketing software, including CRM systems.

– Personal Qualities:

– Results-driven and motivated, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
