Job Description: Sales and Marketing Representative

Position Title: Sales and Marketing Representative

Department: Sales and Marketing

Location: Agason Motors, Blantyre, Malawi

Reports To: Sales and Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Representative at Agason Motors will be responsible for driving sales growth and brand awareness through strategic marketing efforts and effective sales techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and seizing market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Activities:

– Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through various channels, including direct sales, referrals, and networking.

– Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

– Achieve sales targets and KPIs set by the Sales and Marketing Manager.

– Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.

– Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations.

2. Marketing Initiatives:

– Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote Agason Motors’ products and services.

– Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

– Create and distribute marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and social media content.

– Organize and participate in promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions.

– Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

– Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions using CRM software.

– Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

– Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure product satisfaction and gather feedback.

4. Collaboration and Teamwork:

– Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to align sales strategies with overall company goals.

– Collaborate with other departments, including inventory, procurement, and finance, to ensure a seamless sales process.

– Provide feedback and insights to the marketing team to help refine marketing strategies.


– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

– Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the automotive industry.


– Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

– Ability to analyze market trends and customer data.

– Strong organizational and time management skills.


– Proactive and self-motivated.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Strong negotiation and closing skills.

– Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions:

– Travel: Occasional travel may be required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, or conduct market research.

– Hours: Full-time position; may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet sales targets or attend events.
