Job Description

Pact Malawi seeks an organization in Malawi who have experience working with youth and adolescents in Mangochi and/or Nkhata Bay, to participate in activity design meetings with key stakeholders and lead the implementation of select activity(ies). Organizations are defined as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), or faith-based organizations (FBOs). The selected organization will work in close collaboration with the Pact Malawi and US team and will be invited to consultations with the technical and program staff as well as adolescents and youth to suggest activities to achieve the intended results and outcomes within the funding available. Further, the organization will also be involved in learning activities associated with the intervention and may receive capacity strengthening as part of the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership partnership.

Implementation activities may include: educational and awareness raising activities on FP/RH within the community, targeted outreach towards specific age-groups (e.g., young males), curriculum-based approach including FP/RH content and activities targeting adolescents and youth that can be delivered through small group format/safe spaces materials as well as activities to engage families and communities of adolescent girls and young women to foster family and community support for FP/RH services use, approaches to engage male partners of young women or first-time mothers, engaging adolescent boys and girls in designing dialogues with community members around FP/RH for specific sub-groups of the population e.g. ensuring youth play a role in community structure (such as Beach Village Committees (BVCs), ensuring youth participation in decision making, fostering communication between BVC leadership and Health Surveillance Assistants (HSAs), facilitating provision of FP/RH products to community members etc.
