Youth Initiative for Community Development (YICOD) is a local organisation established in response to the growing need for community-driven solutions to challenges facing children, young people and women in Malawi.
We are seeking to recruit motivated individuals to join our dynamic team for the following positions:
{Duration of Contract: 1 year contract renewable depending on performance, funding availability and conduct}
Resource Mobilisation Officer
Responsible for building an increasingly diversified network of resource partners, including development partners, corporations, academia, policymakers, philanthropists, and foundations. The officer will target partners who share in the vision of YICOD and provide funds, technical support and other forms of collaboration to meet the current and future needs of YICOD.
Requirements
– Should be less than 35 years of age
– Holders of diploma in Social Sciences, Business Communication, Marketing, Public Relations/Administration, or any related field from a NCHE accredited tertiary institution. Those with degrees will have an added advantage.
– At least 3 years of experience in resource mobilisation or business development and demonstrated experience in developing fundraising strategy and institutional resource mobilisation, understanding of the development sector, and grants management. Should be able to provide a portfolio of a proven track record of fundraising from local and international donors, corporations, and foundations.
– Have a high-energy, confident presenter who is able to engage people and get them to commit funding and/or to partnering with YICOD.
