RELATIONSHIP OFFICER – INTERN

Sycamore Credit Limited is a Malawian-owned Micro Finance Company that provides loan products. Sycamore Credit Limited was incorporated in April 2018 with the Registrar of Companies and was licensed to operate as a microfinance company in August 2018 by the Reserve Bank of Malawi. The company is looking for a Relationship Officer – Intern for group loans. The position is based in Lilongwe.

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Senior Relationship Officer. The role of a Relationship Officer Intern is to foster business growth with excellent customer experience delivery and a good command of the industry market share. Commitment to the vision, mission, values, and motivation of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Client Acquisition for group loans
• Business orientation for group loans Loan book growth
• Customer retention
• Collections – Loan repayment collections
• Disbursements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in any of the following: Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, or any other business-related field.
• 6-months experience working as a loan officer for group loans is desirable.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong competency in using computers, especially Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of credit operations, particularly group lending methodologies and processes, credit, and risk management.
• Good and valuable customer relationship management skills
• Knowledge of the economy/markets where Sycamore Credit Ltd is operating
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong desire to work with the economically active and willing to help create wealth for Sycamore Credit Ltd customers
