24-MONTH GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMME – MALAWI/SOUTHERN AFRICA

Role purpose
// Regulatory Specialist Trainee Programme has been designed to give exposure within Regulatory Science. This programme will mean an opportunity to see the diverse operations of the Bayer Africa Crop Science Supply Chain– the brands that give us our global strength, and how we manage our supply chain network and set new standards in sustainable supply Chain functions.
// Our aim is to develop our future leaders with a functional talent programme through a central assignment. The Trainee programme contains projects that will challenge you, mentors who will help you to grow, and training to fast-track your personal development
// Coordinate and manage regulatory activities for Traits portfolio in Malawi by following effectively the local Regulatory Science and Compliance activities.
// Maintain seed regulatory expertise to support seed movements in the territory and compliance of the operations
// Have a holistic overview of all regulatory stewardship activities related to seeds and traits in the relevant countries.
// Represent BCS in front of manifold local external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory authorities, relevant industry associations), and
pro-actively influences and shapes the regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities and tasks
// 24 Month Cycle
// You will be assigned responsibilities and will work on projects in our various Regulatory Science function.

// Structured learning plan with specific focus areas throughout the program you will be mentored by an experienced regulatory and stewardship managers/lead and marketing development, who will help you and give you feedback on your performance and agree development measures with you.

// Practical skills building with business knowledge and multiple system knowledge.

Qualifications and Competencies

// BS or MS in biology, chemistry, biology or agronomy (or related subjects).

// Some know ledge of relevant regulations and processes for pesticide, seeds and/or traits authorization; on agronomics, product development, product life cycle, product use and application and on politics and practicalities of freedom to operate.
