Role Permanent

Purpose

This position plays a key strategic role in building and maintaining relationships with JTI Leaf Malawi’s key stakeholders achieved through open, effective and proactive regulatory engagement and providing the entities’ activities with regulatory advice and support.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement – Conducting research on stakeholder needs assessments, developing baselines and ensuring findings are used to prioritise key areas of intervention.

Regulatory Monitoring – Developing, planning and managing processes for monitoring the operating environment i.e. socio-economic, policy and regulatory developments affecting Leaf Services operation in Malawi.

Operational Processes Management – Developing and implementing operational processes that ensure the JTI stakeholder compliance strategy is localized and implemented in the entity in line with JTI’s guidelines.

Projects Management – Planning and managing the Supply Chain Due Diligence engagement processes and guiding the implementation.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Law, Economics, Development Studies or Public Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar job role.
  • Must have good project management skills, strong negotiating, diplomatic and problem-solving skills.
  • English and local language.
