Overview
Greenbelt Authority (GBA) is a Government of Malawi statutory corporation established under the Greenbelt Act No.23 of July 2017 to champion large scale commercial irrigation farming in Malawi.
GBA now invites applications to fill the following vacancies:
Job Title: Registry Clerk
Grade: GBA 9
Reporting to: Assistant Administrative Officer
Direct Supervisees: None.
PURPOSE
To provide efficient office administration, the Registry Clerk shall be responsible for managing the Authority’s Registry amongst other duties.
MAIN DUTIES
•Managing the Registry office and being Custodian of registry files
•Updating personal and administrative files
•Filing and directing correspondences to action offices
•Ensuring that filing is done promptly and that the filing index is updated as required.
•Ascertaining that the filing cabinets are in perfect condition,
•Ensuring that incoming mail is promptly regularly collected from post office.
•Dispatching mails and ensuring that outgoing mail is diligently recorded and efficiently dispatched through either post or courier services.
•Maintaining all office records and service cards.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The desired candidate must possess a full Malawi School Certificate Education (MSCE) with a certificate in Business Administration or Human Resource Management with at least 3 years’ experience.
