The Tearfund Africa team is looking for someone who is passionate about Office Administration and loves organising to take on the role of Regional Office Administrator in Malawi. This is a key position that helps to support the Regional office and ensures the smooth running of other influencing cluster offices.

 

Are you able to:

❖ Provide visitors with timely and accurate information about security, important contacts and all the information required to make their travel arrangements;

❖ Support and liaison on Regional meetings and attendance at Global gatherings;

❖ Maintain centralized contact lists including staff, program visitors and partners in the region; ❖ Maintain a calendar of Regional level activities;

❖ Maintain records of staff time off, travel paperwork, receive and pass purchase request paperwork to the Regional Influencing Finance and Operations Officer and undertakes other administrative duties as required;

❖ Ensure any vehicles used by the regional office are properly maintained, their usage is tracked and fuel is monitored;

❖ Manage logistics and arrangements for workshops, conferences and meetings around the region;

❖ Keep track of and communicate with the regional team about changes in administrative or operational policies and procedures as necessary and applicable;

❖ Proactively identify administrative needs and recommend and implement improvements to administrative processes;

 

Successful applicants must be committed Christians who are willing to sign up to Tearfund’s evangelical statement of faith.

Please note: The candidate should be a Malawi national or have a right to work in Malawi. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, good interpersonal skills to work in a cross-cultural setting.

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
