Railway Maintenance Engineer (2 Positions – Liwonde & Zalewa)
Main Responsibilities:
The Engineer shall be reporting directly to the maintenance Supervisor of the base. From time to time, the engineer will interact with different colleagues from other departments to meet differing goals of the company.
The engineer shall often be required to replace the Supervisor of the base and he/she therefore is required to possess and continuously aim to improve on people and resource management such as:
Sizing the number of people to work on the maintenance works
Allocation the proper resources in equipment and materials
Be a leader in setting the parameters within which the quality of works meets the desired expectations
Advise the supervisor & other team members on the deviations noted through inspections & propose remedies to check the impending failures of the track.
Qualification & Person Specification:
University Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering & Construction Management)
3 years experience
Excellent teamwork, communication, & leadership Skills
Willingness to face challenges & display adaptability, responsibility and flexibility
Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
