Position 1: Quantity Surveyor
Job Summery
The Quantity Surveyor ensures that building Projects remain within estimated budgets. The
Quantity Surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements,
reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and
vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting in preparing initial estimates
- Assisting in scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
- Assisting liaising with site managers, clients, contractors and subcontractors on Project matters.
- Preparing reports, analyzing contracts, budgeting, conducting risk assessment and produce other relevant documents.
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Solving contractual disputes and problems.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution
- Must have a minimum of 1 year work experience of professional practice
- Excellent communicator both written and oral
- Able to work as part of a team
- Numerical orientation
- Analytical ability
