Psycho-Socio Counsellor at University of Malawi

Applicants must have a minimum of a diploma in psycho-socio counselling from a credible institution. The applicants must also have at least 3 years’ experience in counselling. Those with a bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology,counselling or psychosocial counselling will have an added advantage.

DUTIES

1. Providing individual,couples, and group psychotherapy services
2. Providing crisis intervention,consultation and referral services for students and staff
3. Administering  and interpreting psychological assessments as warrranted
4. Proving outreach programming on a variety of mental health topics to the campus community
5. Facilitating various training programs related to counselling
6. Liaison with relevant outside authorities (law enforcement, psychiatric services providers etc.)
