Position: PSV Licence Instructor
National Bus Services Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified, skilled and experienced Candidates to fill the vacant position of PSV License Instructor which is tenable at its Head Office in Blantyre. The successful candidate will be reporting to the General Manager.
The ideal candidate should have very good understanding of all areas relating to the position.
Duties And Responsibilities
The Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following;
- Attend trainings etc., for the purpose of maintaining skills and meeting requirements of Bus Driver Trainer
- Conduct driver training, coaching and mentoring to ensure that they qualify for PSV Licence
- Evaluate performance of Bus Drivers and applicants for the purpose of ensuring that basic skills levels are met and are in compliance with state certificate requirements
- Inform Bus drivers and applicants (e.g., rules, regulations, laws, procedures etc.) for the purpose of follow up action and proper procedures.
- Performing pre- trips and post trips inspections. (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition etc.) to ensure safe operating condition of the vehicle and meeting the state requirements.
- Reporting all accidents and incidents involving Buses to the General Manager.
- Develop and implement operational plans and appropriately provide reports to the Executive Management.
Qualifications, Attributes And Experience
The ideal Candidate should;
- Must have a PSV training certificate.
- Clean Driving license code D.
- Must have Defensive driving certificate
- Have not less than 3 years’ experience
- Must be very conversant with highway code
- Must be up to date with current road rules and regulations and applicable fines and penalties for breach of the same
