Beyond Our Hearts Foundation organization was established in 2014. Its main objective is securing rights of the poor and marginalized, promote good governance, enhance sustainable livelihood development through promoting people’s participation at all levels of the state and society.

According to the organization’s policy, special emphasis is given on women and children participation in building poor people’s capacity towards disaster risk reduction and climate resilience.

BOHF with funding from Save the Children Italy is looking for experienced individuals to fill the vacant posts as follows:

Project Office Assistant (Neno District)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Office Assistant will to provide administrative and secretarial support at our BOHF Neno office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

His/her responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the point of contact between the BOHF staff and clients;
  • Screening and directing telephone calls and distributing correspondence;
  • providing administrative assistance to the BOHF staff;
  • handling requests and queries appropriately;
  • managing daily and schedule meetings and appointments;
  • Making travel arrangements for project team
  • Taking dictations and drafting minutes;
  • Sourcing and procuring office supplies;
  • Handling and managing service providers and suppliers; and maintaining the office filing system.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants with the following work experience will be considered:

  • minimum 2 (two) years’ work experience as an Office assistant
  • highly professional, presentable and well spoken;
  • good analytical and problem-solving ability and sound numerical skills;
  • attention to detail and good organizational skills including the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information; excellent conflict and stress management;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with staff and customers;
  • excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
