OVERVIEW

Call for Applications for the Role of Project Manager

Epilepsy Warriors Foundation (EWF) is an independent non-profit organization based in Blantyre, Malawi. EWF’s prime motto is bringing Epilepsy ‘out of the shadows.’

In 2018 a group of educated, dynamic and epilepsy activists living with Epilepsy and working in the development sector, got together to establish an organization for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of people with epilepsy.

Epilepsy Warriors Foundation (EWF) seeks to recruit a competent, committed and dynamic individual to join its secretariat in Blantyre for the role of project manager who will work under a Disability Rights Fund project titled “Breaking barriers to ensure no one with epilepsy is left behind”

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with project coalition partners and district authorities in project impact areas to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure the submission of quality and timely reports
  • Promote and Strengthen EWF advocacy work especially the project
  • Ensure project staff and coalition partners are well informed and comply with EWF safeguarding policies and standards in project delivery
  • Research and adopt advocacy strategies
  • Monitoring project activities
  • Monitoring budget expenditure against planned activities

 

Minimum qualification required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work or Disability Studies or any other relevant fields. Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in community engagement, advocacy and awareness, child protection and disability programming. Skills
  • Project Management, Excellent Facilitation, previous experience of working with school based structures and grassroots development structures
  • Experience of working with persons with disabilities
