Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi is a locally registered NGO that has been operating in Malawi since 1995. Our mission is to work with the communities by promoting social and economic development through health, education training, food security and environmental programs. Through a variety of development models, DAPP complements the government’s effort in implementing the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy.
DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for various positions for the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project which is to be implemented in Blantyre and Chiradzulu districts aiming at strengthening access to high quality and comprehensive services targeting adolescent and young people through Determined, Resilient, AIDS-Free Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) Program under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a project called “Loto Langa” or “LoLa” in short.
The program includes several layers of interventions including Direct service delivery of HIV Testing and Family planning and condom promotion and distribution to for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), Social asset building and HIV Violence prevention of AGYW, Economic strengthening and educational support, Families Matter Program and Implementing the IMPower Program.

Reports to The Project Lead
Job summary/ responsibilities
To support the DREAMS/ Loto Langa project to execute its operational functions within economy, finance, administration and legal matters.
Key Performance Areas
  • Assure that the usage of all project vehicles is in line with current DAPP Malawi policies and are well documented are well maintained and always clean
  • Making sure that all accidents occurrences are timely reported and documented
  • Providing support to the project finance department
  • Supervising all project drivers and ensuring that all project vehicles are serviced timely
  • Conducting routine checks at project offices to ascertain that each project keeps all project financial and administrative documents in required order
  • Securing that there is always a week plan for the department and that all the people under your department knows what to do and are properly guided.
  • Taking part in preparation for the key documents needed during organization assessment from external partners.
  • You are the custodian of project asset register and its update
  • Preparing and timely submitting of all administrative reports
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of diploma in Business Administration or related fields with at least 2 years’ experience in administrative work especially in donor funded organizations.
  • Strong background in donor organizations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be self-starter, effective team player with demonstration of result-oriented track record
  • Good interpersonal relationship and presentability
Able to use computer especially flourishing knowledge in M/S dos, M/Ex and P/P
