Position Overview
Tingathe is seeking a passionate and dedicated Programs Assistant to support the implementation of our community development projects. The Programs Assistant will work closely with our team to ensure effective planning, coordination, and monitoring of various initiatives, with a focus on youth vocational training, women’s empowerment, and children’s life skills development and Early Childhood Development.
Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in planning and coordinating programs activities, ensuring smooth execution of training sessions and events.

Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, and maintaining accurate program documentation.

Monitor program progress, collect data, and contribute to the evaluation of project outcomes.

Support communication and coordination with stakeholders, beneficiaries, and community leaders.

Assist in organizing meetings, training sessions, and workshops.

Ensure timely submission of project updates, reports, and other deliverables.
- Ensure program activities are aligned with Tingathe’s mission and goals.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Development Studies, Community Development, Social Work, Project Management, or related field.

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an NGO.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong passion for community development and empowerment.

Fluency in English and Chichewa.

Must be based in Lilongwe
