Introduction
R4H (formerly known as Riders for Health) is an NGO working to improve healthcare delivery in Africa. R4H has been working with Ministry of Health and Population in establishing a well-coordinated, reliable national Sample Transport mechanism. Since 2011, R4H has been working in healthcare logistics, transporting clinical samples and results, undertaking healthcare waste management, and road safety training.
R4H seeks to fill the following open positions of Finance Officer
(1), Business Development Officer (1), Human Resources and
Administration Officer- Maternity Cover (1), Programme Assistant
Officer-Route Optimisation (1), ICT support Assistant-Systems support
(1) and Sample Transport Couriers (3) to support the upward trajectory
of the organization.
Title: Program Assistant Officer-Route Optimisation (1)
Location:Mzuzu, Malawi
Reports To: Program Officer-Route Optimisation
Direct Reports:None
Purpose of the position
Programme Assistant Officer-Route Optimisation will provide support in the effective and efficient implementation of the Sample
Transportation Optimization system at the district level through linking
Sample Transport Couriers, district and health facility staff as well as
coordinating Sample Transport activities within the districts they
manage
Required Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Social Science, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health or related field from recognised and accredited institution.
- Those with bachelor’s degree will have an added advantage.
- 2 years’ practical experience in health-related field in a busy
organisation preferably with NGOs - Practical experience in using computerized information data
packages will be an added advantage including USSD packages - Strong facilitation and mentorship/coaching skills
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills
- Self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
