FOCCAD
TITLE: Program Officer: Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health
ROLE PURPOSE
The major purpose of this role is to support the implementation of FOCCAD maternal, neonatal, and child health program activities in all targeted communities, jointly with a cadre of Community Health Workers. The role will lead the delivery of FOCCADs outreach clinics in last mile-to-reach communities, leading client-clinic collaboration, capacity building of CHWs, and health and community systems strengthening.
SCOPE OF ROLE
Reports to: Technical Coordinator: Health
Qualifications:
- Degree in nursing, clinical medicine, or public health
- Five or more years experience in health program design including HIV and AIDS, SRHR, MNCH, and nutrition
- Experience in health systems strengthening
- Outstanding knowledge of essential health packages for Malawi
- Practical knowledge of key health policies, strategic frameworks, and guidelines
- Strong computer, data analysis, and presentation skills
- Proven knowledge of project design, planning, implementation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of district health systems structures and Min of health coordination mechanisms
