We are looking for a passionate and suitably qualified candidate to fill the following vacancy.

 Job Title: Program Manager

 

Job Specification: 

The Programs Manager (PM) will be responsible for coordinating all programs within the four main pillars of The Sparkle Foundation (Education, Health, Nutrition and Community Empowerment). They shall work closely with the Program Officers and the Operations Director to ensure that the programs align with the strategic goals of The Sparkle Foundation. The Programs Manager should also ensure that all project and program milestones and goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. This Programs Manager shall work closely with the Operations Director in resource mobilisation and support the Fundraising Manager in the UK with grants application by providing relevant information and supporting the reporting on all Grants. They shall also be responsible for developing new projects that align with the values and ethos of the Foundation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Lead, manage, and optimise all aspects of Sparkle Foundation’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Senior Management team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organisation’s mission and vision.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting our values of authenticity, purposefulness, vibrancy, and teamwork.
  • Resource Management: Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure the organisation’s sustainability and growth.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and donors to enhance Sparkle Foundation’s impact and reach.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure the organisation operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and uphold high standards of governance.of achieving desired standards of satisfaction and quality.
  • Managing concurrent projects from different donors whilst adhering to donor requirements.
  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
  • Monitoring and managing budgets and funding channels for maximum productivity.
  • Developing and consolidating annual workplans with input from Program Officers
  • Taking parting in Grant management procedures
  • Ensure policies and procedures are upheld, reviewed, and updated quarterly to ensure compliance with donor and organization’s requirements.
  • Uphold and embody the organisation’s values and staff code of conduct always.
  • Any other tasks as necessary which the Country Director/Operations Director may reasonably require.

 

Qualifications 

  • A university degree in Business Management, Developmental Studies, or Social Sciences and those with a postgraduate degree will have added advantage.
  • Proven experience in program management. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Minimum of 3 years grant management experience.
  • Experience of using computerised program management software and Excel
  • Innovative, attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills, with the ability to build good relations, both internally and externally
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience managing a team.
  • Good understanding of project life cycle
  • A self-starter, capable of working independently.
  • Capable of rapid and quality turn around on a high workload and multiple task
