POSITION: PROJECT ASSISTANT (2)
ORGANISATION BACKGROUND
Ukani is a local NGO founded in 2016 predominantly based in Blantyre that deals with girl and women empowerment as well as gender equality through the implementation of several projects nationwide. We are looking for two passionate and driven individuals who conform to the organizations values to help us implement the GALS Leadership Program.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Girls Advocacy and Leadership Series (GALS) is a program that aims to empower teenage girls with the skills and knowledge to be confident leaders in their communities. This 18-week course equips these young girls with career preparation, conflict management, sexual and reproductive health education as well as leadership and advocacy skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in community development
- Experience working with girls and women
- A minimum of one year experience delivering trainings
TIME PERIOD
4 month contract
WORKING HOURS
Thursday to Saturday 9am – 5pm ( from home and in the field)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering trainings while observing a course curriculum
- Monitoring and evaluating participants’ progress and Monitoring timeline for project on an on-going basis
- Updating management about project development and performing necessary communications.
- Supporting procurement activities and administrative duties
- Attending team meetings on project calls and taking notes on necessary requirements
- Project management and coordination of activities involved in the GAALS program.
Method Of Application
