365 Modelling Solutions LTD is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Production Officer tenable in Lilongwe to oversee the printing operations for our print shop. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in digital printing, graphic design, and production management. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of our printing equipment, offline finishers, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality printed materials. The Production Officer will also be responsible for coordinating with clients, managing workflows, and maintaining quality control.
1. Functional Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Production Officer will undertake the following tasks/duties:

Production Management– Oversee the operation of digital printing equipment, Manage offline finishing processes, including perforation, cutting, creasing, and bookbinding, Ensure all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, Schedule and prioritize print jobs to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines and Monitor inventory levels of paper, ink, and other supplies, and place orders as needed.

Graphic Design Support-Assist with graphic design tasks, including preparing print-ready files, proofing, and making adjustments as needed, ensure all designs meet client specifications and are optimized for printing and Troubleshoot and resolve any design or file-related issues before printing.

Quality Control-Inspect printed materials for accuracy, color consistency, and overall quality, Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimize errors and waste and Address and resolve any production issues promptly.

Team Leadership-Supervise and train assistant production staff, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and operational standards, foster a collaborative and productive work environment and Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure efficiency.
- Client Interaction-Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice on print options, Provide quotes and estimates for print jobs, ensuring profitability, and Handle client feedback and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Equipment Maintenance-Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs of printing and finishing equipment, Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with service providers when necessary and Ensure all equipment is operating at optimal performance levels.
- Process Improvement- Identify opportunities to improve production workflows and reduce costs, Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to enhance shop capabilities and Implement best practices to increase efficiency and productivity.

3. Required Skills, Experience and Educational Qualifications
Education
Minimum of a Certificate in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Work Experience

At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
