Role Description
The Production Incharge will oversee the manufacturing process and ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently to meet production targets. This is a full-time hybrid role, located in Lilongwe, with flexibility for remote work. The Production Incharge will work closely with the operations team to ensure all aspects of the production process are optimized and will manage the day-to-day activities of the production team to ensure that all quality standards are met and deadlines are achieved. Other responsibilities include maintaining equipment, preparing production reports, and implementing improvement plans to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience in production
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar Production Incharge role
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing best practices and industry standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
