Production Manager at Choice Products Limited

Choice Products Limited would like to fill the position of Production Manager at its factory in Mzuzu.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing its
production processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand.
2. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure
efficient production.
3. Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards and implement quality control
measures.
4. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase
efficiency and productivity.
5. Team Management: Supervise and manage production staff, including training, coaching, and
performance evaluation.
6. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and
finished goods.
7. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that production processes comply with safety regulations and
industry standards.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Production or manufacturing experience: Previous experience in beverages production/soya
processing will be added advantage BUT not a MUST.
2. Leadership and management skills: Ability to lead and manage a team.
3. Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Problem-solving skills and analytical skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
5. Time management and organization skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
6. Knowledge of production processes and technologies: Familiarity with production processes and
technologies.
7. Quality control and assurance knowledge: Understanding of quality control and assurance principles.

Education and Certifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field, such as Industrial Science, Engineering, or
Operations Management.
2. Certifications: Certifications like CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) may be
beneficial.
