Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other important data for Tingathe ‘s general operations
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
- Assist in developing plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
- Ensure the best value for money is achieved through competitive and transparent procurement processes
- Assist in maintaining and updating a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
- Work with team members and Finance & Admin Manager to complete duties as needed
- Assist in contributing to the growth of community programs
- Assisting in the development of new community engagement programs
- Assist in facilitating the process of procedural replacement of any lost, stolen, or missing assets
- Coordinating with and guiding the Tingathe team on asset usage and maintenance
- Assist in estimating and establishing cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements;
- Diploma in Procurement, Supply chain logistics, and public administration or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in an NGO or development program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong passion for community development and empowerment.
- Fluency in English and Chichewa.
- Must be based in Lilongwe
