Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the multiple vacant positions tenable at PBM Construction Offices in area 43 and area 25, Lilongwe. Deadline 12.11.24
POSITION: PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT (1)
REPORTING TO: Finance Manager/FD
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Operations department to forecast demand, Source procurement quotations in accordance with Government approved procedures
- Assist in developing cost procurement plans for projects in response to project work schedules, processing relevant procurement documents.
- Negotiate prices, terms with suppliers, service providers and develop contracts
- Evaluate, maintain procurement files and records appropriately using technology to improve tracking and reporting of materials, tools distribution, storage or inventory.
- Provide clerical services in preparing procurement plans and program
- Implement ware housing management systems, processing and updating stocks inventory
- Ensure vehicle utilization, maintenance, fuel consumption, monitoring controls system.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Malawi School Certificate of Examination
- Certificate in Procurement related Field
- Those who are a member of the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS) will have added advantage.
- At least two (2) years’ work experience in procurement field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand and interpret public procurement related laws and regulations
- Honesty, integrity and confidentiality Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
