PressCane Limited, located in Chikwawa District, is instrumental in Malawi’s energy sector through ethanol production which is used for petrol blending.
We’re currently looking for a dynamic Process Coordinator to join our team in Chikwawa, aiming to propel our distillery operations to new heights.
Role Insight: Reporting to the Process Manager, the position focuses on optimizing the distillery’s operations focusing on raw materials management, alcohol production, staff supervision and SHEQ enforcement.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee raw material handling, fermentation, distillation, and dehydration processes;
- Manage process engineering projects and ensure quality control;
- Supervise production staff, fostering a collaborative environment; and
- Uphold quality, safety, health, and environmental standards.
Ideal Candidate should have:
- A BSc Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or any related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience working with PLC-enhanced plants or other Process IT applications.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- An innate ability to foster positive relationships and teamwork across all levels of the organization.
