National Audit Office
National Audit Office is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following Non-Established posts (3 years Contract) existing at National Audit Office Headquarters.
Qualification:
Degree in Accounting/Finance/Internal audit/Business Administration with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance/Internal Audit/Business Administration field
Duties:
- Preparing a list of submitted Government Stock of arrears from Secretary to the Treasury
- Allocating requests for arrears from Secretary to the Treasury to be verified to officers
- Cross checking with the MDA who contracted the arrears for availability of documentation
- Organizing site engagements with MDAs as part of the verification exercise
- Drafting certificates on verified arrears for submission to the Chief Verification Officer
- Reconciling the amounts paid per MDA as arrears with those verified by National Audit Office
- Cross checking the Stock of Arrears reported by the MDA versus the information in the commitment control report in IFMIS
- Acquire a list of arrears settled/verified by the Ministry of justice for payment
- Producing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in terms of arrears received per MDA and those verified or not and even which ones have been paid
- Supervising quality, completion of allocated assignments to the verification officers
