Local Government Service Commission is inviting Applications from suitably qualified individuals to
fill the following vacant positions tenable at Ntcheu District Council.
Job Title: Principal Community Development Officer
Grade: M4
Salary: Within the Grade M4 salary scale segment
Location: Ntcheu District council
Qualifications
Applicants must be serving Senior Community Development Officers grade M5 regardless of experience at that grade or Community Development Officers (Grade M6) or Social Welfare Officers (Grade M6) with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in those posts.
Duties
I. Plan, organize and control all programme activities in the department.
II. Undertake primary technical and financial evaluation of programmes and provide appropriate
direction to management.
III. Provide input in policy formulation development and maintenance of departmental practices
and professional ethics.
IV. Identify training needs for technical staff in the department and initiate in-service training
programmes, etc.
Note: Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be required during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of condition of appointment on probation (PSR 19)
