Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Education
Candidates with National Professional Qualification for Headship will be at an advantage.
Experience
Essential Experience
- Must have at least 10 years proven experience of school leadership in a through-school setting (both primary and high schools) gained either in the UK or internationally.
- Previous experience of minimum 8 years as a Principal of an International School.
Skills and Ability
- A decisive manager who is proactive and versatile, with a high level of energy, integrity and enthusiasm.
- Sensitive to and able to uphold the core ethos and values of SHJIS.
- Articulate and approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate a whole school culture of attainment through effective and collaborative team
working
Key Duties of the Roles
- Efficiently and effectively lead the senior management team and students towards the school’s
objectives. - Maintain SHJIS in the top tier of British International Schools, both in Malawi and internationally.
- Direct and manage the education, both curricular and extra-curricular, provided by the school; ensuring that the highest standards of teaching and learning are delivered and that performance is kept under review.
