JOB TITLE: PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER (2 Positions)
GRADE: D
SECTION: ACADEMICS
REPORTING TO: THE DEPUTY HEAD
WORK STATION : LILONGWE
Job Summary:
You will undertake various teaching strategies reinforced with teaching and learning aid to ensure maximum communication with the learners. You will also evaluate the performance of the
learners to ensure mastery of writing, reading and arithmetical skills.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Teach learners effectively.
- Counsel and advise learners.
- Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans before teaching.
- Maintain classroom discipline.
Educational qualification and competence
The candidate must have:
- A teaching certificate from a well-recognized institution
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- At least Four years of teaching experience. Those with more than three years’ experience will have an added advantage
- A Christian with good standing in his/her church
Special and personal attributes
The candidate must be:
- Proven experience in teaching
- Be devoted to teaching and show interest in respect of learners
- Able to motivate learners
- Excellent oral and written communication and listening
- Self – disciplined
