Job Overview:
Biz Prefabs Ltd. is seeking an experienced plant operator to operate a variety of plant equipment, including but not limited to a front-end loader, JCB, tipper, and roller. The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills, industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to business development. This position involves not only driving and handling plant machinery but also engaging with clients to promote and expand our plant equipment rental services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate plant equipment such as front-end loaders, JCBs, tippers, rollers, and other related machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing routine inspections and basic maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to ensure equipment is deployed effectively.
• Provide professional and courteous service to clients, with an ability to discuss equipment details and capabilities.
• Actively contribute to sales efforts by identifying opportunities and promoting plant equipment rental services to potential customers.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, client interactions, and service requests.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations when operating equipment.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in operating a variety of plant equipment (front-end loader, JCB, tipper, roller, etc.).
• Valid driving license for plant equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers effectively.
• Sales experience or a proven ability to bring in new business.
• Solid understanding of the plant equipment industry and its services.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on machinery.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to safety and operational procedures.
