Progressive Healthcare Institute (PHI) is a privately owned healthcare institution established with an aim of contributing to the improvement of healthcare in Malawi through provision of training of human resources for health, healthcare, research and consultancy. The Institute is licensed by the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) to provide training of pharmacy personnel. PHI is located in Lilongwe.
The Institute is inviting applications for employment from suitable qualified Malawians, for the immediate recruitment of the following position:
positions: PHARMACY LECTURER, Grade 4
Reporting to: Program Coordinator
Job Purpose: To provide high quality education and training
Responsibilities
- Preparing lesson plan
- Conducting classroom teaching Teaching and supervising students during
clinical placement - Setting, administering, marking and giving feedback of examinations
- Participating in curriculum development and review
- Supervising and evaluating associate lecturers Counselling students on both academic and disciplinary matters
- Attending departmental meetings Assisting in administering of student
selection process Participating in preparation of annual budgets - Assisting program coordinator on academic matters
- Participating in the institute’s research and resource mobilization activities
- Participating in development and review of the institute’s strategic and business plans
Job Requirements
- First degree in Pharmacy obtained from an accredited University
- License to practice from Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority
At least 2 years work experience in a pharmacy - Those with qualification and/or experience in teaching will have added advantage
