THE ORGANISATION

Zamara Pensions Administrators Limited domiciled in Malawi is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Pension Administration Associate on a 1-year fixed term contract tenable at their Blantyre Office.

Role based in Blantyre, Malawi

Role reporting to Pension Administration Officer


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Pension Administration Officer, the successful candidate shall be responsible for administrative aspects of pension schemes in order to drive data integrity, client satisfaction and client retention whilst ensuring responsibilities are completed accurately and in a timely manner to promote organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Verification of fund data and loading the information onto the system
  • Preparing and reconciling member records.
  • Processing withdrawal requests for members within set standards
  • Maintaining member pension records (bio data, bank details, emails) and updating contributions on the selected admin system
  • Providing annual member statements after allocation of interest
  • Dealing with pension scheme / fund complaints, disputes, general enquiries and correspondence from members, advisers, trustees, fund managers and communicating with them appropriately
  • Preparing of quarterly returns for submission to Registrar of Financial Institutions
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly administration reports

 QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES

The following qualification is preferred

  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional qualification in Actuarial / CPA / ACCA / CII / CFP will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of the Pension Act (2010)
  • Knowledge of directives governing pensions in Malawi
  • Knowledge of types of schemes

  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Well-groomed and presentable
