PARTNERSHIPS & STRATEGY MANAGER
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Strategy, the incumbent has responsibility of acquiring partners and businesses that support the strategic direction of the Bank through creation of solutions and driving last mile financial inclusion. The incumbent is also responsible for growing account numbers, assets and liabilities through growth of high value Partners by providing proactive, value adding financial products, business analysis, provision of tailored services to meet the growth and needs of Partners while creating long term value to the Bank.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnerships Management
- Conduct regular research to enable the Bank fully understand the Partners.
- Carry out competitor analysis on existing Partnerships and report periodically to the Head of Partnerships and Strategy.
- Acquire new Partners and cross sell products to existing Partners.
- Grow Partnerships, numbers and values in assets, liabilities tand revenue as per the target
- Ensure that all documentation relating to Partners is in place.
- Manage kick offs of Partnerships relationships until they are transferred to the respective department for day-to-day operations
- Review all existing partnerships and explore more areas for collaboration, increased cross sale, performance monitoring, conflict resolution, and further revenue generations
- Collaborate with other managers, sales representatives and other Bank officials in execution of partnerships projects.
- Record keeping and periodic performance reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Strategy and, where necessary to external partners
Customer relationship/experience management
- Deliver turnaround times in line with service delivery requirements
- Provide support for increased customer experience for partner organisations and link up with relevant departments for implementation
- Carry out joint periodic client visitations with other departments and entertainment for key partners
- Facilitate relationship management for partners with relevant businessunit.
- Communicating value proposition to all stakeholders to get them prepared to enable speedy execution on all transactions for Partners.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills/Competencies
- Bachelors’ degree in Banking, Economics, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing or any business-related field
- 5 years’ experience at manager level or at senior officer level in a busy organization preferably in the financial services sector
- Strong business knowledge of the business of banking: retail banking: corporate banking: investment banking: banking operations; credit; alternative channels; and risk and compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills – ability to analyse complex market development and trends data and design and produce effective management information
- Strong organizational and management skills including problem solving
- Strong business acumen and the ability to contribute to strategic decisions and the development of proposals.
- Ability to work with analytical tools and working with power point, spreadsheets etc.
