Vacancy – Operations Officer
Umodzi Women’s Group, a women’s dairy farming group located in Chigumula, Blantyre, intends to recruit an Operations Officer to support the group in its day to day activities Key responsibilities: The Operations Officer will among others, be responsible for the following:
1. Planning, managing and supervising activities taking place at the group’s farms
2. Supporting the group’s Technical Committees in undertaking their tasks
3. Organizing meetings with internal and external stakeholders
4. Preparing activity reports for submission to the Executive Committee
5. Take charge in disease control of livestock
6. Liaising with all the sub committees of the group to ensure effective operations and efficiency in dairy management
7. Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate must have:
1. At least a Diploma in livestock management obtained from Natural Resources College or any other similar institution
2. Must be a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision
3. Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels
4. Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
5. A valid driver’s/motorcycle license will be an acded advantage.
