Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of Mphipe Cottage. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of all aspects of the cottage, delivering exceptional service to guests, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, and guest services.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort for all guests.
• Supervise, train, and support staff members to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate and manage bookings, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently.
• Maintain inventory and manage supplies to ensure the cottage is well-stocked and prepared for guests.
• Implement and uphold policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor financial transactions, budgets, and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improvement and growth.
• Foster a positive relationship with guests, staff, and the local community.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in hospitality management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and calmness.
• Proficiency in using reservation systems and other relevant software.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of local attractions and activities is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a cottage, resort, or hotel setting.
