QHSE SYSTEMS OFFICER

We are looking to employ an experienced QHSE Systems Officer to join our dynamic team.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The position of QHSE Systems Officer is crucial to the company’s supply chain operations. The position exists to implement and maintain the company’s QHSE Management systems in accordance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and FSSC 22000 among others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Among other tasks. the QHSE Systems Officer will be required to carry out the following duties:

■ Assist in the quality check of the company’s policies and precedures.
■ Perform regular checks and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality, food safety, HSE and regulatory (MBS) requirements.
■Facilitate continuous improvement for the QHSE Management Systems.
■Do root causes analysis and advise on corrective actions to address non-conformities.
■ Prepare reports for non-conformities and incidents.
■Conduct regular toolbox talks in the various business sites.
■ Conduct QHSE induction for employees, visitors and contractors.
■ Conduct regular trainings on QHSE Policies, procedures, and best practices for the sites.
■ Ensure that all HSE documents are updated, filed accordingly, and easily retrievable.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should at least have the following qualifications and experience:

■BSc Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Health from a well accredited university or college.
■ At least 1 – 2 years of experience in a busy production environment.
■Hands on prior experience in FMCG will be an added advantage.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

■Must have knowledge of ISO Systems.
■ Knowledge of QHSE processes, policies, and procedures. ■Good understanding of continuous improvement tools.
■ Ability to conduct HSE Risk assessments and offer solutions.
