We are looking for a passionate and suitably qualified candidates to fill the following  vacancies.

 

Job Title:              Nurse

 

Job Specification:

Collaborate closely with the Matawale Health Centre to ensure the availability and proper administration of all medical supplies in accordance with government standards. Support in the smooth running of the clinic, supporting in patient triage, care, and aftercare.

 

Duties and Tasks

  • Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients.
  • Prepare prescriptions for patients as directed.
  • Maintain proper drug storage and security.
  • Supplies patients with information and education on their prescription
  • Liaises with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information.
  • Answer patients’ questions about medications.
  • Take inventory of drugs on hand and record results
  • Places orders for additional drugs as directed by the clinic in charge.
  • Notify superiors when medication inventory needs to be replenished in a timely manner.
  • Support in tending to patients, completing testing as necessary.
  • Where required complete basic treatment and diagnosis of patients.
  • Manage all stock within the clinic and support in the preparation of medicine request and financial requests.
  • Ensure that all M&E and reporting is supported for the clinic.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience a similar post
  • Be Registered with nurses council of Malawi

  • Follow directions, policies and procedures in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Great professional driving skills
