New Product Projects Manager
The Job
A senior management position the New Product Projects Manager has strategy-impacting responsibilities integral to the Company’s new product development, business development and growth strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, research and coordinate mobilisation new products; potential technologies and partnership opportunities identified to be of interest To NITE’s new product development and growth strategy
- Provide hands-on technical expertise in concept validation through to technology or partnership on-boarding and where relevant, sign-off;
- Maintain an effective flow rate for approved opportunity research targets and new product concepts by identifying, prioritizing and solving problems quickly and efficiently
- Build and manage an A-player team of researchers and project mobilisation analysts in line with the product and partnership development strategy
- Contribute new product development projects initiatives with agility, strong teamwork and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Set priorities and keep momentum going on a mix of projects and enable quick response to shifting priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional brainstorming sessions and encourage new thinking
- Be the team leader and a direct contributor on multiple projects of varying size, scope, and complexity.
- Partner with cross-functional peers to drive efficiencies and accountabilities.
- Participate in new product design reviews, think critically about new product concepts, and ask the kinds of questions that help make them better
- Collaborate with product teams to bring new functionalities and evolution paths into NITE’s next generation products, and initiate the exploration of new technologies and partnerships
- Collaborate with product teams in the exploration of new technologies and partnerships opportunities
- Develop strategic product and project delivery recommendations based on Problem Management metrics and KPI results.
- Lead and manage the execution and delivery of assigned technological projects, integrating the different key stakeholders in each of the phases.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Experience leading innovation projects
- Knowledge and user-centered capabilities with multiple software development languages
- Competent research capabilities with a strong bias on tracking and understanding of high-impact and transformative emerging technologies
- Understanding of Design Thinking, User
- Experience Tracking, Analytics, Quality Assurance
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively through visualization and mockups
- Open and collaborative must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged
- Strong organization
- Operates independently with minimal guidance
- Strong quantitative and business analysis skills with track record of making excellent decisions resulting in short- and long-term positive impact
- Experience with product management in SaaS set-ups.
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Innovation, Bachelor of Business Administration, Project Management certification or a related business or technical field.
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Innovation, Business Administration, Project Management or related technical field.
- Certification with principal enterprise technology systems such Oracle, SAP, IBM
- 5 to 7 years of Product Development and go-to-market rollout experience.
- Experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies.
- Experience and qualifications in project management
- Implementation National and International standards (IEEE Business/Developer. Systems Analysis, PMBOK/PRINCE2).
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Enterprise Architecture, Product Management. Network services, UX/UI. Systems Administration
- First-rate knowledge and appreciation of emerging exponential technologies and understanding of go-to-market commerce enablers (eg. licensing agreements, payments, loyalty, subscriptions, etc.).
