Specific duties
- Designing and implementing modifications to data network to enhance performance and availability;
- Installing and commissioning network hardware and software to cope with expansion and as part of new projects and network maintenance;
- Reviewing and performing long and short-term capacity planning studies to determine the type of resources needed to support the expected traffic, types of application systems and operating assurance;
- Managing network security through firewalls, data encryption across WAN, secure LAN setup and VLAN management;
- Managing network hardware insurance;
- Conducting network hardware routine maintenance;
- Keeping up-to-date network equipment inventory;
- Managing the network configuration backups.
Qualification and Experience
- The candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering from a recognized and accredited University
- Possession of any relevant ICT Certification will be an added advantage
- A minimum work experience of 3 years.
