We seek the services of a NATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER.
Our ideal candidate will be working as part of the management team to develop the FAMS
business in Malawi. The role encompasses the management of the National Operations & Customs Brokerage team, with a “hands on” approach. Communication is an essential quality as the role requires continuous interaction with customers, suppliers, agents and internally.
Travel will be required, both domestic and international.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Operations & Customs Brokerage teams in Lilongwe and Blantyre to deliver high quality customer service.
- Continuously develop operational processes and develop the team.
- Act as an industry expert to ensure compliant operations and support customers.
Qualifications
- Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years freight forwarding industry operational
experience. - Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Good comprehension of operational and customs systems
- Some management experience would be an advantage.
- Those with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Project Management, will
have an added advantage.
