1. CARPENTER
GRADE: M
NO. POSTS: 1
LOCATION: Ntcheu
SALARY: Within the Grade M Salary Scale Segment
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must have;
A Grade 3/ equivalent certificate (Carpentry option). Minimum experience of three years.’
The supporting documents (academic/ experience).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Maintaining buildings and machinery
ii. Maintaining records relating to the section.
iii. Understand and follow safety guidelines.
iv. Making new furniture
v. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
2. WATER MONITORING ASSISTANT
GRADE: M
NO. POSTS: 1
LOCATION: Ntcheu
SALARY: Within Government grade M salary scale segment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with credits in Mathematics, Physical Science, Biology and Agriculture or Geography.
JOB DESCRIPTION
i. Sensitize and mobilize communities in water supply and sanitation activities and
disseminate gender, hygiene, sanitation, and health (including HIV and AIDS) messages.
ii. Facilitate the establishment and sustenance of Local Extension Workers’ Coordination Committee (WPCs).
iii. Collect, analyze and report data on water supply and sanitation.
iv. Facilitate participatory water supply site selection.
v. Monitor community financial management for operation and maintenance activities.
vi. Any other duties that may be assigned by senior officers from time to time.
3. VETERINARY SCOUT
GRADE P
NO. POSTS :1
LOCATION: Ntcheu
SALARY: Within the Grade P Salary Scale Segment
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must be in possession of Malawi Junior Certificate of Education or its equivalent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Conduct livestock Census and records Of farmers keeping livestock per class.
ii. Monitor movement of Livestock
iii. Report and assist in control of livestock losses and thefts
iv. Conduct slaughter and animal products Surveillance
v. Conduct and monitor dog bites surveillance (rabies)
vi. Conduct routine livestock disease surveillance
vii. Report any emergency disease outbreak
viii. Monitor movement of livestock within and across the border if they have
valid documents and are disease free
ix. Monitoring of veterinary related activities (within and across borders)
x. Monitoring and recording of communal grazing areas (within and across borders)
4. GROUND LABOURER
GRADE: R
NO. POST:1
LOCATION: Ntcheu
SALARY: Within grade R salary scale segment
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be in possession of Malawi Junior Certificate of Education or its equivalent.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Cleaning the surroundings
ii. Planting flowers and other ornaments surrounding the premises
iii. Clearing bushes
iv. any other duties assigned from time to time
