Multiple Positions at Malawi Institute of Tourism

VACANCIES

Malawi Institute of Tourism (MIT) is a leading tourism and hospitality training and educational Institution in Malawi with training campuses in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. The Institute also runs three application hotels, namely Alendo hotel in Blantyre, Lingadzi Inn in Lilongwe and Mzuzu Lodge.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:

 

1. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY LECTURER (Grade M6)

Tenable at Blantyre campus (1 position)

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Information and Communication Technology from a reputable institution with two(2) years working experience as a Lecturer. Those with level 4 TEVET Diploma in ICT from a recognized institution plus six years’ working experience in teaching will be considered.

 

2. ACCOUNTING LECTURER (Grade M6)

Tenable at Blantyre campus (1 position)

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Accounting from a reputable Institution with two (2) years working experience in middle management. Those with a Diploma in Accounting from a recognized institution plus six years’ experience in teaching will be considered.

 

3. ADMINISTRATIVE STUDIES LECTURER (Grade M6)

Tenable at Blantyre campus (1 position)

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Business Administration or in Business Management from a reputable institution with two(2) years working experience as a Lecturer. Those with a TEVET Administrative Studies Diploma from a recognized institution plus six years’ working experience in teaching will be considered.

A series of practical and oral interviews will be conducted and successful candidates will be on a three (3) years contract, renewable depending on  work performance.
