VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT
La Riviera Lodge is one of the fastest growing hospitality establishments in Mangochi that aims to provide excellent services to diverse groups of domestic and international guests. To ensure clients are served professionally, it is looking for qualified people to fill the following vacancies:
1. RECEPTIONIST
This is an important position that allows the person to have a direct interface with the guests and therefore we are looking for a professional with
  • An extroverted personality and preferably male.
  • He must have exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) and be diplomatic in managing matters.
  • He will be expected to demonstrate unquestionable integrity and responsibility.
  • Must have a habit of restraint and a pleasant disposition.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide a friendly welcoming experience by greeting guests on arrival using bests practices.
  • Provide all guests with a friendly, accurate and efficient check-in/check-out process while abiding by our policies and procedures. Prepare for check-ins before the arrival of guests.
  • Ensure that the front desk is clean, organized and ready to greet guests.
  • Verify and collect guest payments and identification, ensuring all procedures are followed to protect guest sensitive information including identity and credit card information. Process all financial transactions with strict adherence to defined procedures.
  • Ensuring that all rooms allocated to guests are ready before their arrival.
  • Answering phone calls in a manner that provides a genuine experience to every caller.
  • Attending to guests needs as quickly as possible.
  • Providing warm and friendly experience to all potential guests making enquiries regarding the reservations by focusing on their real needs.
Qualifications
  • Certificate in hotel management/Front office
  • Malawi School Certificate of Education
  • Those with Diploma in Hotel/Front Office Operations will have an added advantage.
Remuneration
The package commensurate with qualification and experience of the candidate.
2. ACCOUNTS CLERK
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • Certificate in Accounting
  • Malawi School Certificate of Education
  • Those with Diploma in Accounting will have an added advantage.

  • Ability to think innovatively and produce new ideas
  • Ability to work as part of the team, results oriented and motivated to deliver excellent work.
Key responsibilities
  • Organize and process Financial transactions
  • Preparing Month-End Reports
  • Maintaining Financial Filing Systems
  • Management accounts payable
  • Assist with clerical and Administrative tasks.
Remuneration
The position offers a remuneration package and benefits commensurate with experience and qualification.
3. SECURITY GUARDS (2 POSTS)
REQUIREMENTS
  • JCE/MSCE with 3 years’ experience
Attributes
  • Somebody with high integrity and honest
  • Sober and Energetic
  • Judgmental and team player
  • Alertness/vigilant/mind on the job
Key responsibilities
  • Welcoming guests at the gate
  • Inspect and patrol premises regularly
  • Authorize entrance of guests and vehicles
  • Reporting any suspicious behaviours and happenings
  • Secure all guests’ properties including their vehicles.

This commensurate with Experience and qualifications.
