The Opportunity

 

PRIME (Programme Reporting, Information Management and Evidence) is Save the Children’s new project management system. PRIME is part of the CAPP (Coding, Agresso, PRIME & PMM) Program which will improve project management and project information management for improved quality programme delivery and impact across Save the Children and support standardising and improving the quality of SCI financial data. PRIME is in the process of being deployed and will be operational in all Country Offices by 2024 – PRIME will ‘go live’ in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe COs in September 2022.

The Multi-CO PRIME Manager will be responsible for support PRIME deployment by being the key point of contact for end users within PDQ. As well as supporting the use of PRIME by ensuring the timely creation of projects in PRIME; ensuring the quality and data integrity of the PRIME project records; and the effective use of PRIME data, dashboards and analytics reports for project tracking to inform decision making; and generally promoting the adoption of PRIME to become business as usual.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in Proposal development, Monitoring and Evaluation, project management and/or technical advisory, who understands the value of using systems and Standard Project Methodologies, to grow and develop in this area, gaining experience and skills in the challenging context in which we operate.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Qualification

Bachelor degree in an area of social development or equivalent

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • At least 3 years of experience in Proposal development and/or MEAL and/or project management
  • Experience of project design, project operations within SCI, including project management systems, desirable
  • Experience in data tracking/analysis, documentation and  report- skills, with the ability to disseminate complex information to a range of stakeholder audiences
  • Project Management Methodology (PMM) certified
  • Ability to work with complex topics and challenges and brings an attitude to be solution orientated
  • Experience in leading/supporting capacity building of others
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people from different departments and culturally diverse teams
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and quality
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, statistical packages and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to Save the Children values

Desirable

  • Experience working within matrix management organisations
  • Experience or knowledge of global project management methodologies
