Malawi Bureau of Standards
The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is a statutory organization established in 1972 by an Act of Parliament (Cap 51:02) with a mandate to promote standardization of commodities and their manufacture, production, processing or treatment, and to provide for the verification and calibration of weighing and measuring instruments, and to further provide for matters incidental to, or connected with, standardization.
The MBS is inviting applications from suitably qualified and interested persons to fill the following vacancies:

Job title: Messenger
Grade: BS13
Reporting to: Head Messenger
Responsible for: None
Job Purpose
To provide administrative support services.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
a) Cleaning offices and premises;
b) Posting and collecting mail at the post office;
c) Moving files from one office to another;
d) Preparing and serving tea and refreshments for staff;
e) Running official errands;
f) Photocopying, scanning and filing documents appropriately;
g) Arranging meetings by reserving rooms and managing refreshments;
h) Interacting with clients, visitors and vendors;
i) Performing clerical duties but not limited to mailing and filing correspondences and answering calls;
j) Performing receptionist duties when needed;
k) Performing any other duties relevant to the post.
