Msilikali SACCO

Msilikali SACCO (MSACCO) an afiliate of Malawi Union of Savings & Credit Cooperatives Ltd (MUSCCO), is a member owned and democratically controlled financial cooperative society that aims at providing quality and affordable financial services to its members; drawn from the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and other Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). Therefore, Msilikali SACCO invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following posts tenable at its Head Office and branches in Mzuzu and Salima.

Member Service Officers (Tenable at Branches)

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Member Service Officer shall ensure the growth of MSACCO membership through provision of seamless member service delivery systems to
meet set targets and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

a) Coordinate the customer care function to ensure that members are served in an exemplary manner.
b) Manage Branch member education programs on MSACCO Products and Services as well as member financial wellness.
c) Timely provide feedback on member complaints / queries about account types and SACCO products, such as shares, savings accounts, loans and fixed deposits.
d) Manage Branch Complaints Register and track resolutions of complaints.
e) Formulate & implement branch marketing and promotional plans that meet the branch’s growth plans.
f) Generate branch marketing & promotional programs in liaison with the Business Development Office.
g) Lead and manage Branch Payroll deduction system.
h) Ensure SACCO complies to regulations on KYC and Credit Reference Bureau.
i) Ensuring compliance with existing and new systems, internal controls, policies and procedures.
j) Supervise branch Member Service Assistants and Tellers.
k) Ensure cleanliness and ambiance of the Branch Office.
l) Other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or Marketing or equivalent from a recognized University with 3 years working experience in a financial industry
  • Those with Diploma with 5 years’ experience.
  • Understanding of SACCO or Financial Cooperative business model.
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees.
  • Knowledge of Fin-Financials Core banking system or any core banking system.
  • Great interpersonal skills and customer service.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
