Medical Officer at St. Anne’s Mission Hospital

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in vacant position tenable at St. Anne’s Mission Hospital, Nkhotakota District.

 

MEDICAL OFFICER: Grade H

 

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree obtained from a recognized training institution and must be registered with the relevant professional bodies
2. Age between 25 to 50 years
3. At least 3 years relevant experience
4. Ready to work even odd hours

 

Main Duties:

1. Conducting ward rounds of admitted patients to review possible discharges and treatment
2. Attending to referral cases from out-patients department
3. Performing normal surgical operations and attending to theatre emergencies
4. Planning and preparing activities for Health Centres under the hospital
5. Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of activities in the Health Centres
6. Conducting refresher courses for junior staff
7. Supervising Clinical paramedical staff
8. Supervising the recording of patients’ data in registers
9. Supervising the aggregating, analyzing and interpretation of data
10. Supervising the process and dissemination of information to all relevant stakeholders including submission of weekly reports to the designated officer
