Peace Corps, a development agency of the U.S. Government, has an immediate opening for a Medical Officer. Under the direct supervision of the Country Director and the Office of Medical Services, to provide health care to U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers in Malawi.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Doctors must have degree from accredited school listed at: https://search.wdoms.org/
- Current license to practice medicine
- Five years relevant clinical experience in primary care after medical school
- Proficiency in the assessment of acute and ongoing illnesses
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
- Experience in training design and presentation of health related material
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Program and administrative management experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of an multi-cultural team
- Hardworking, reliable, and diligent with advanced interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to remote sites in Malawi
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to obtain a visa to the United States, South Africa, and Kenya.
